Yellow Book USA is a phone and address directory listing service and publisher of independent telephone directories, based in Rockville Centre (Long Island), New York. The company publishes White Pages, Yellow Pages, and Coupon Pages every year in over a 1000 markets. Yellow Book USA directories cover 48 states of the continental United States. As well as its print directories, Yellow Book operates yellowbook.com, an online version of their telephone directories.
Established in 1930, Yellow Book is the oldest and largest independent directory publisher. Its major competitors are AT&T Yellow Pages, Idearc Media and R. H. Donnelley, which are owned by and/or publish for telephone companies. Yellowbook is known for its lower rates on advertising.
Yellow Book is a subsidiary of Yell Group PLC, a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange. Yellow Book USA acquired its midwest division from McLeodUSA and its southwest division from the National Directory Company. Recent ads for the company have featured David Carradine.
