a few points to consider:
1. juveniles in ohio who commit crimes or are 'incorrigible' are not called criminals and their record is not called a "juvenile criminal record". they are called "delinquents" or "unruly" (which is a set of behaviors that can only be committed by children by refusing to subject themselves to the reasonable control of a parent or guardian). as such. any reference to jeff's own admission he had a substantial "juvenile criminal record" is incorrect under Ohio law. the reference here should be to a "Juvenile delinquency record" and term criminal should be struck unless it is a direct quote from jeff, which it did not appear to be in the background (no quotation marks surrounded it and there was no reference). as a previous director of juvenile court services in ohio, i made the proper changes to the section and someone, with an insufficient knowledge of Ohio law reverted it to original. future editors should review Ohio revised code regarding juvenile courts for further reference prior to making edits to revert something has been corrected. i will not change this back from my original edit.

2. i went to high school with jeff fenholt. i made a few additions to his background with respect to our school history which appear to have been deleted by individuals without this knowledge. jeff and i both lived in columbus ohio and attended columbus north high school. i didn't mention this, but we went to different junior high schools. both of us auditioned for and were accepted into the columbus north high school senior choir after leaving junior high school. this was very unusual because seniors and juniors only were accepted, but both of us had excellent tenor voices and Carol Evans made the decision to add us, despite our young age. Note that i still own the record (a live LP) this choir made with both of us singing in it that year. this choir WAS directed by carol evans, who WAS the wife of Jack O. Evans, the ex band director at Ohio State University. both of us WERE peers in the rock subculture and were musical friends at the time, although we played in different bands. jeff DID leave columbus north to attend another High school, which because we were friends, he told me in a personal conversation occurred because "it was closer to home". i had and still have no reason to believe that he lied to me about it. Jeff and i both attended dances and played in local bands and saw each other often, even after he changed schools. Whetstone park dances WERE a common venue during that time. all of this seems to have been removed. i'll not change it back; however, this information is correct and can be corroborated by reviewing school records, checking with columbus parks regarding the history of whetstone park in the 60's and by speaking with either one of us (and any other person who lived in that area of columbus at the time) because we were there. i can certainly see that there seems to be a "bad boy" image that some might wish to perpetrate, but when we were in high school, jeff seemed to me to be a pretty normal kid with pretty normal kid's problems... not much different than any other friends i had in school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.108.15.59 (talk) 15:14, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

The word "decline" is too strong to describe his life over the past 20 years, so I broke it up to devide the events of one year from everything else. --johntindale (talk) 22:57, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

At the time Fenholt auditioned for Tony Iommi, Black Sabbath technically did not exist as a band. Following the abortive 1984 lineup of Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and American vocalist Dave Donato, Butler and Ward departed (Butler for solo projects, Ward to continue his recovery from addiction), leaving Iommi on his own.

Tony Iommi likely does not own the rights to the name "Black Sabbath" anymore following the reunion of the original lineup. It has been stated that Sharon Osbourne stipulated that Iommi not record under the Sabbath name unless such a project would involve Ozzy Osbourne. He has released three solo albums since the original lineup reunited, two with Glenn Hughes.

Bootlegs of Fenholt's audition tapes (usually titled "Star of India") have circulated for some time and can usually be found on eBay.--MarshallStack 04:56, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This article is focusing on one minor aspect of Jeff Felholts life, i.e. his association with the band black Sabbath. This article gives very litle information on the man, but seems to be a place for majoring on a minor aspect of his life. The fact is that he sang with the band who were formerly known as Black Sabbath. Big deal. Why make this such a big issue in the article.

Nick.

Fenholt built the majority of his career based on the fraudulent claim that he had been a vocalist with Black Sabbath. Hence, the majority of his article on Wikipedia is about said fraudulent claim. - Chadbryant 07:11, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
