The Team

Presenter

  • Matt Smith has been the presenter from the start and is very rarely absent. In the rare occasions that he is absent, Andy Townsend, Robbie Earle and Craig Doyle have deputised. Angus Scott previously filled in when Smith was away, but he now works for Setanta Sports.

Pundits

  • The pundits (who report too) were Robbie Earle and Andy Townsend. They gave their analysis on some games but they usually reported in depth on a game in the Football League. As of the 2007-2008 season pundits were very rarely used on the programme.

End of the show

  • The show will come to an end in May 2009 when ITV's Championship and Carling Cup highlights package comes to an end. After this time BBC Sport will take over the rights though the show itself will most likely end, as highlights would be integrated into Match of the Day.
