Zeitgeist Films is an American independent film distributor based in New York City. It was founded in June, 1988 by co-presidents Nancy Gerstman and Emily Russo. Films distributed by Zeitgeist Films are strongly auteur-driven and offer a very distinct visual style and often unique content. Zeitgeist has eight employees, and has released over 150 titles.[1] It is the only woman-run film distribution company. [2]
