Lluther

Lluther is an industrial rock band founded in 2004 by former Skindive songwriter Gerry Owens in Dublin, Ireland.

About The Band

History

After the band Skindive finally dissolved in 2002, Gerry Owens, the guitarist and main songwriter of the group, continued to write music all on his own. Feeling that Skindive had run its course, Owens began to push in a different, harder musical direction using heavier guitars and screaming vocals.[1]
It wasn't long afterwards until he formed Lluther in 2004. Owens recruited his friend Ger Farrell who played drums with Owens in Skindive and eventually completing the line up with Sarah Fox (ex-JJ72), Dek & Degaz.[2]
With Lluther ready to perform, they began touring extensively beginning in Ireland and then moving onto Germany while also releasing an EP "Venus Complex".

Owens continued to tour with Lluther during 2005/2006 throughout Europe and playing festivals while also working on other projects. The band signed a publishing deal with EMI in 2005 and the Album "Agents Of Empire" was finally mixed & mastered in August 2005 at "The Cell" in Dublin by Mark Carolan ( Muse, The Cure) & Owens and released in Germany, Austria & Switzerland. In January 2007, Lluther released the album to Ireland.

Lluther have a large fan base in Germany and tour extensively playing festivals and support large acts like HIM, Die Krupps & KMFDM.[3] The band also receives regular airplay on both radio and television in Germany.

Current

Currently Lluther are working on their second album '12 Heresies'. They plan to start touring again in the summer.[4]
