Benny Dayal hails from Kollam district in Kerala.[2] He did his B.Com from Madras Christian College.He also the won the Best Debut Singer in filmfare 2009 for rocking playback in Ghajini,yuvraj and JT Y JN. Benny was not recogonized for his talents until He got a big break from none other than the Great Music Legend A.R.Rahman in a South Indian Film. Even though Benny is from Kerela, He stays in chennai.Benny does a lot of variations in his singning. He once told that A.R Rahman told him to do the variations in songs for it to be more cachy.
