Production

The CW announced on March 3, 2008 that One Tree Hill was renewed for a sixth season.[20] It was later reported the season will consist of twenty-four episodes.[21]

Screen Actors Guild Strike

There's a possibility that a Screen Actors Guild strike could bring production of season six to a grinding halt,[22] though since early July 2008, both sides are still negotiating, with no strike action as of February 2009.
