Ricardo Bofill

Ricardo Bofill (born December 5, 1939) is a Spanish architect born in Spain of Jewish descent.

Ricardo Bofill was born in Barcelona in 1939.

He studied at the School of Architecture in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1963 he founded a group formed by architects, engineers, sociologists and philosophers, creating the basis for what today is the ‘Taller de Arquitectura’ , international team with over 40 years experience in urban design, architecture, parks and gardens designs, interior design, etc.

Many projects built around the world demonstrate his capacity to act in harmony with the different local cultures, combined with a global knowledge.
