The Midway Drive-In located in Sterling, Illinois is home to the oldest standing drive-in theatre screen in Illinois. Opened in 1950, it is named for being located midway between Dixon, Illinois and Sterling, Illinois.

In 2007, the Midway Drive-In was purchased by Mike and Mia Kerz (who are also the founders of the popular Flashback Weekend Movie Conventions which are held in Rosemont, Illinois). The Midway Drive In then underwent a two year renovation. The historic Drive-In Screen Tower was refurbished and painted, the projection booth equipment was upgraded, and the concession stand has been restored to its original 50's diner decor.

The original retro "spaceship" ticket booth was restored, as well as the original children's playground.

In addition to running first run family films during the summer season, the Midway Drive-In hosts Flashback Weekend pre-Halloween all night Horror Film Festivals in September and October.
