Michigan Start‑class Mid‑importance

Park system and notable individual

They have an incredible park system. Among other things, there is a large and intricate boardwalk that runs over the river and through several areas of wetland (without much disturbing them). I was told that this was funded by 'the founder of Consumers' Energy.' The name escapes me. There's also the Kiwanis Trail - don't know if the entire thing is named after them but it is several miles long and nearly makes it to Tecumseh, Michigan
