I have recently finished rebuilding and am now flying DH83C Fox Moth ZK-APT S/No FM48. I can supply accurate and up to date info on all aspects of the Fox.The English 83 did not use a Tiger undercarriage as it had it's own specific design The Canadian 83C uses modified DH82C components. The engine bearers on both English and Canadian are also not Tiger and are also type specific. I wish to correct the oft repeated misinformation that the Fox uses the 82's u/c and bearers. The wooden structure of the 82's wing is used with Fox strut and root fittings. The empennage on both English and Canadian are 82 parts,(the Canadian with elevator trimtabs)The lower part of the rear fuselage from cockpit aft is identical to the DH60G Moth.
I also own and operate an 84A Dragon and a Moth Minor and am currently rebuilding a Tiger and a Moth Major. For any other info or help I can be contacted at vintageaircraft@xtra.co.nz or ##6494263735. (New Zealand.)
