- Note: Phil Niekro's start came in the first game of the 1982 NLCS, however, this game was not an officially completed game. It was raining at Busch Memorial Stadium and the Braves were winning a 1-0 shutout against the St. Louis Cardinals, when, with only three outs before it could become an official game, the umpire stopped the game. When the rain did not clear, the game was cancelled and restarted from the beginning the next night with Braves pitcher Pascual Pérez getting the start. The Braves would lose the game 7-0.[2]
