Adani Power Limited (Adani Power), an ancillary of the Adani Group, has commenced power production at the initial unit of its Mundra 4,620 megawatts (MW) thermal coal-based power station. By generating 50 MW of power, Adani Power commissioned and synchronized its 330 MW unit. Mundra power project includes 5 super critical units of 660 MW each and 4 units of 330 MW each. It involves an INR200 billion investment. The Adani Group is an Indian conglomerate with revenues of $3.5 billion. The core business of the group is Commodities Trading, Edible oil Manufacturing, Mundra port operations and distribution of Natural Gas. The various companies under the group are

Adani is now in power sector too coming up with a 4620MW thermal Power project in Mundra, Kutch district, the first unit of 330MW will be completed by 31st december2008.
