Irrawaddy delta fauna

I think that's fine (adding it to the Ayerawaddy river article). As you say, that is the main article. Ideally, of course, we should have a separate article on the fauna in the delta but that's not going to happen for a while. When there is enough stuff, we can spin it off into its own article and link it from the river as well as the delta. Myanmar/Burma

Hi. I think we may have hit on a way forward on Ayeyarwady/Irrawady; there again, we've probably opened up a whole new can of worms! I certainly agree though, that the problem isn't going to go away, and we need to consider our whole approach to the country as the advice in the naming conventions is totally inadequate, if not downright contradictory. Let's see what the others think, and if there is agreement, perhaps you'd like to open up discussion at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Burmese) and direct people from Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (geographic names), Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Myanmar (Burma), and we can follow you across.
