Bexley North is a railway station on Sydney's CityRail East Hills Line. It serves the Sydney suburb of Bexley North. The station has a single island platform serving the local tracks, which retains its 1930's original brick station building.
History
Bexley North railway station opened in 1931 as part of the East Hills railway line between Tempe and East Hills.[1] Bexley North station had been double track and electrified since its opening until 2000 when the Wolli Creek to Kingsgrove quadruplication was completed. The station now has an island platform serving the 'Up and Down East Hills Local' tracks, and an express track on either side, the 'Up and Down East Hills Main' lines.
Platforms/Services
Bexley North is generally served by local all-stations services between the City Circle and Revesby, the frequency of which is every 15 minutes during weekday daytimes, and half-hourly at nights and weekends/public holidays.
