These bands were called Imagine This and Lloyd. Imagine This had it's first (self titled) album release in 1993 on Essential Records. It produced 1 number 1 Christian Rock single (national) called "Revolution" and several other top 10 including "Word To The World". The 2nd Imagine This record was called "Love" released in 1995 on Essential Records. It had 2 number one CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) singles. The first was called "Love" it was on the CHR (Christian Hit Radio). The second was called "Shelter" which overtook artists such as DC Talk for the #1 spot for 5 weeks. Other singles and that record made the top 10 on both rock and CHR charts they were. "Munky Jump", "State Of Your America" "As The Deer". These can all be found in old issues of CCM magazine. The other band was called Lloyd and the album "Thoughts From A Driveway" was released Organic Records/ Pamplin Music in 1998. It produced 2 #1 CCM Singles. The first was "Forever Song" which was on the CHR charts. The 2nd was "Don't Wanna Know" which topped the rock charts (and was top ten on the CHR charts as well). Other top tens for this album were "Mr. Warner (#5)" and "Mary Tyler Moore".
