William Comacho of New York, USA. They were involved in farmers rights and immigration law on a county level. Both ministers came from humble back grounds. Douglas Anthony Clive Saunders (born February 15, 1949) to Clive Douglas and Gloria Saunders. He is also the brother of Attorney-At- Law "Revd. Maurice Saunders." He received part of his education fromJamaica College, Kingston, Jamaica. Following such greats as National Hero and the Nations Premier Rt. Hon. Norman Manley, O.J. and his son, former Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Michael Manley, O.J. At this time, Douglas Saunders is the current Cabinet Secretary in the Jamaican Prime Minister's cabinet. He assumed this role on June 1, 2008.

He has spent most of his career as a Jamaican diplomat. He was an Ambassador for Jamaica and most recently held the post of Permanent Secretary in Jamaica's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he has served in various diplomatic positions for Jamaica, including as Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, and Ambassador to the European Union.
