"You Run Away"
Song

"You Run Away" is a song by Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies[1]. It is the first single from their new album All in Good Time. It was released January 8th for online streaming.[2] The commercial download single was released February 2, 2010.[3]

History

This song was written by Ed Robertson. The song is about Steven Page's departure from the band. [citation needed] Ed has said in a few recent interviews that in most songs he covered up the true meaning of the songs with humor, but with this one he just let it all out.

Reception

The song, so far, has gotten extremely positive feedback from fans and some critics.[4][5][6][7]

The Realest Ninja gave the song an A-minus, while praising it as the band's best single since "Another Postcard" in 2003, [8]. He also noted Page's exit by saying "There's something romantic about the rest of the band having something to prove."

It was the #1 most added song in the US and Canada for one week.
