Pot Roast originated from Bowen, Australia. Born on a farm, he escaped the chop and joined the local police force. Thinking he was safe, he should've thought different. In the Summer of 2009, an Irish girl, named Audrey Barrett came to work in Bowen for the season. What started as a little light hearted humour, turned into a full on stalking nightmare. He wasn't safe anywhere, she would pretened the local youth group (known as the BST) would steal her ipod, then upon setting an appointment for Pot Roast to come round, she would straighten her hair and put on her best lipstick. Pot Roast wasn't amused, not was he the countless nights when she would flag his patrol vehicle down and invade his personal space with the head in the window. Enough was enough, until one night Pot Roast caught Barrett driving down the wrong side of the road and gave her a ticket. He thought that was it, she soon moved away. He was safe, but little does he know that she has her own pocked sized Pot Roast that she now carries round with her. It has no been reported Barrett lives in Bondi, but may be moving back to Ayr, one hour from Bowen... Only God can help him now.

Beef Cuts

Pot roast is a braised beef dish. Pot roast is typically made by browning a roast-sized piece of beef (often taken from the tougher chuck cut) to induce a Maillard reaction, then slow-cooking in liquid in a covered dish.

Boneless chuck roast and 7-bone pot roast are recommended,[by whom?] as they are inexpensive, yet become tender after braising. As with all braises, the slow cooking tenderizes the tough meat, while the liquid exchanges its flavor with that of the beef. The result of a good pot roast should be tender, succulent meat and a rich liquid that lends itself to gravy.

Pot roast is often served with carrots and/or potatoes simmered in the cooking liquid.

Sauerbraten is a famous German variety of pot roast.
