== Terrible Software ==

I have never wiki'd before but I was surprised that there is no mention of this software's epic failures. The biggest of which is the fact that they release a new version every year, which can be purchased as a $100 upgrade from the previous year or $600 at retail. These upgrades typically only change a couple things that are not useful to the common user, and have never fixed the glaring problem that a file composed in Finale 2009 will not be compatible in the 2008 version, 2008 in 2007... etc... There has never been any backwards compatibility, and this forces the entire industry to update yearly if they wish to share files. Also the MIDI and instrumental playback for compositions plays far too quiet, while the sound effect for making common mistakes like trying to add too many beats in a measure produces a 90's era windows shriek at three times the volume. Someone who is familiar with this software and is more familiar with the ways of Wikipedia should mention this (and countless other ridiculous oversights) in the article.

Fair use rationale for Image:Finale2006logo.gif

Image:Finale2006logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Purpose

I think you have lost the main purpose of this article, I think that is 'what version should I get' to be able to make up my mind I would need to know for each version: what system support it, the size of the file main disadvantages, etc (I see you already have a discusion about the bugs of some versions, but you have turn this into a battle finale vs sibelious).
