Brian Lockwood is an American television director.

From his stellar work on single camera music videos for major artists the likes of The Pretenders and Bon Jovi to major multi-camera entertainment specials such as running International master control for “The Academy Awards” and the “Tournament of Roses Parade”, Brian Lockwood is a highly sought after television director and editor with more than twenty-five years experience in the industry.

Lockwood is fortunate to remain in demand across several genres of television. Over the past few years, he has sat down and anted up at the televised poker table having directed more than 150 episodes of poker programming including NBC’s “Poker After Dark” & “National Heads-Up Poker Championship”, “Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament” for FSN, and both the “United States Poker Championship” and the “Pro-Am Poker Equalizer” for ESPN.

Sports programming has always been a slam-dunk for Brian. He has directed competitive events for all of the major broadcast networks and many cable outlets as well. He boasts among his many sports credits “Championship Boxing” for HBO, “NASCAR Racing” for Fox Sports and Speed Channel, “Supercross” for CBS, the “U.S. Pro Ski Tour” for NBC & ABC, and just to stay on point, the “Professional Bull Riders Tour” for Turner Network Television.

Factual and Entertainment producers call upon Lockwood for his ability to find the story and beauty in most anything he directs. Mtv Had Brian direct their highly rated Paris Hilton's "My New BFF Thanksgiving Special", Animal Planet’s “Trail Mix” combined both story telling and performance in an HDTV special. And the beauty is easy to find in the many “Miss Hawaiian Tropic International” pageants he’s directed. Brian has also directed concert specials and music videos for the likes of the Bon Jovi, Cypress Hill, Dave Matthews Band, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Fall Out Boy, Stephen Marley, Linkin Park, Motley Crue, Peter Gabriel, Pussycat Dolls, Smashing Pumpkins and Van Halen. Comedy Central has called upon him to direct their comedy/dating hybrid show “Defending Your Date” as has Budweiser for several national commercials over the years.

From the beginning of his career, Lockwood has been on the forefront of digital technology. Some twenty years ago he founded Broadcast Edit, a cutting edge post-production facility that was a mainstay for many major broadcasters and production companies in Southern California.
