Cristiano Lupatelli (born 21 June 1978 in Perugia) is an Italian football goalkeeper who is currently playing at Cagliari. He is known for his goatee and sideburns with his bald head.
Career
Lupatelli won a scudetto while playing for A.S. Roma in 2000/2001. A Roma youth product, Lupatelli was farmed to Chievo in 2001-02 to 2002-03 season, after just played 12 Serie A games for the capital club. In 2003-04 season, he became backup of Ivan Pelizzoli.
In summer 2004, he joined Fiorentina on free transfer.[1]
Lupatelli was the regular of Fiorentina in 2004-05 season, but after the arrival of Sébastien Frey (2005-), Bogdan Lobonţ (2006-07) and Vlada Avramov (2007-), he became the third choice.
During on loan at Parma F.C., he was exchanged with Matteo Guardalben in mid-season.
In summer 2008, he joined Cagliari, played as backup of Federico Marchetti.
