I have read the "Deletion Policy" and fully understood the content. And my decision to delete the page is in accordance with the terms specified in the Policy:

I have also read the "Guide To Deletion" and fully understood the content.

I tried to delete the page for a few good reasons:

1. The creater of the page has obviously vandalized it by giving informations, strongly believed to be false, incorrect and/or inaccurate.

2. The creator of the page has given out someone else's private information without getting the permission from the affected person, hence, violating the rights to that person's personal privacy.

3. Obviously, I have tried the "db delete because" function as explained in the help section but does not work.

4. Here are just some of the hyperlinks to the help section where you can find advices for user who finds article inappropriate, offensive and also, MOST IMPORTANTLY, violating the "comunally agreed policies and guidelines."

'''Speedy Delete''' Please note that "Notability" is only ONE OF THE GUIDELINE to create a good article. Furthermore, I DO NOT SEE that this article has conform with the "Notability" guideline. Our main discussion here is about DELETING this article and I think it is only correct if we pay our attention on whether or not this article has indeed violated the criteria for "Deletion", as specified in the "Deletion Policy". In this discussion, we have to be relevant to be on the track, NOT off the track. I strongly urge commentators to read the "Notability Guideline" properly before providing their opinions on this issue. By carefully reading and understanding it will help you to provide a reasonable point of view on this discussion. Please not that Wikipedia's "Guideline and Policy" is a general suggestion to users to make proper use of it, not to misuse it. It is also NOT above the Law. Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Template messages/Deletion

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Template messages/Deletion, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This article is completely nonsense, so is wikipedia. And the person mentioned in this article do not wish to give her approval.

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. Zhang Haijie (Chinese: 张海洁; born 28 August 1971) is an award-winning television news presenter with MediaCorp TV Channel 8, one of two Mandarin Chinese free-to-air television channels in Singapore. Since May 1, 2008, she has been anchoring News 8 at Ten every weekday night at 10pm (SIN/KUL/HK).

Career

Prior to relocating to Singapore in 1998, Zhang graduated top of her cohort from the prestigious Communication University of China (formerly known as Beijing Broadcasting Institute) with a Degree in Communications Studies. After graduation, Zhang taught at her alma mater for four years before moving on to journalism.

She then worked in the Shanghai Cable TV Station for one-and-a-half years as a financial-news presenter and producer. She then decided to relocate to Singapore to work abroad. One week into her initial job as a trainer, where she worked at the MediaCorp's News Department in November 1998, she was asked to anchor the 1pm news bulletin instead.

Zhang was promoted and asked to anchor the 10pm news on MediaCorp TV Channel 8 till 2001. At the end of that year, Zhang resigned from MediaCorp News and crossed over to rival station SPH MediaWorks Channel U.

At SPH MediaWorks Channel U she hosted the current-affairs programme, Inside Out, which explores various social issues in Singapore and the region.

In 2005, following the merger with MediaCorp TV and MediaCorp Studios, SPH MediaWorks closed down. Zhang was the only news anchor from SPH MediaWorks to be invited back to MediaCorp's News department. However, she rejected the move.

After three years off the air, Zhang announced on January 7, 2008, that she would make return to broadcasting on MediaCorp TV Channel 8, and assume duties as a news anchor in February 2008. Her first television appearance after her comeback was on February 15, 2008, where she reported about the government's financial budget and conducted a live broadcast interview in the news studio during the 10pm news bulletin.

Awards

  • Asian Television Awards 2003 - Best Current Affairs Presenter Runner-up (Inside Out)
  • Top 50 Asian Idols, organised by Lianhe Zaobao (2004)
  • Representative for 2000s Era of Most Memorable News Anchors - MediaCorp 45th Anniversary Gala (2008)

(Note: Haijie has also been nominated three times - 2000, 2001 and 2009 - in the annual MediaCorp TV Star Awards.)
