REQUEST TO DELETE A PAGE OR AN ARTICLE
[edit]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhang_Haijie

I have also read the "Guide To Deletion" and fully understood the content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Youmaynotknowme (talk • contribs) 13:23, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
I tried to delete the page for a few good reasons:
1. The creater of the page has obviously vandalized it by giving informations, strongly believed to be false, incorrect and/or inaccurate.
2. The creator of the page has given out someone else's private information without getting the permission from the affected person, hence, violating the rights to that person's personal privacy.
3. Obviously, I have tried the "db delete because" function as explained in the help section but does not work.
4. Here are just some of the hyperlinks to the help section where you can find advices for user who finds article inappropriate, offensive and also, MOST IMPORTANTLY, violating the "comunally agreed policies and guidelines."

Please take your time to consider these facts seriously and grant my request to delete the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhang_Haijie for good.
If you were to take a look at the "History" section at the top of the page, you will also find other opinions, concerns and debates contributed by other members of the public about removing and deleting the page.
Please note that many people including myself sees this as an etiquette problem.
Opinions
[edit]Oppose - The article is considered notable and the second external link can count as a reference. If possible, information from the corresponding article on Chinese Wikipedia can be translated here. It's up to the contributors of this article to add in further references for verification. In the meantime, I think a RefimproveBLP tag can be placed at the top of the article.
I've some questions and comments for User:Youmaynotknowme:
- Why is the article counted as vandalism?
- What form of private information about Zhang Haijie has been revealed without Zhang's permission? Please be specific.
- The history of the talk page shows that only you have been editing the page, excluding the bot. You're obviously lying in your last two sentences above.
- Do you understand Wikipedia's policies on WP:CIVIL, WP:POINT and WP:AGF?
- Do you have a personal vendetta against the contributors of the article or Zhang Haijie? Wikipedia is not the place for you to settle your dispute, if you're going to settle it in this manner. See WP:DR.
- You're using your account only to initiate and participate in this discussion to have the article deleted. Your contributions log suggests so.

OBJECTION TO DELETE THIS PAGE
[edit]Why should this page be deleted? This page should NEVER be deleted.
First, she's a public figure and a well known news anchor in Singapore's context. There is a need to have a page for her so that interested individuals will learn more about her in this article.
As for personal information, it was taken from various websites and newspapers (with references provided in the article) which were OPENLY PUBLISHED in public during a personal interview with Zhang Haijie. She has thus already granted permission for these information to be published in the mass media. No need to kick up such a big fuss! Htrbrse (talk) 16:37, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
To add on, you're in fact wasting all the efforts that the contributors had put into writing this article. This page should NOT be deleted. Htrbrse (talk) 16:38, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
FURTHER VANDALISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
[edit]I have already reverted this page back to the original version that I had written. All information is certified correct with most of the information being found in the Straits Time interview (link in reference section). Some other info can be accessed in SPH archives, which is on a payable basis for access to information.
Further vandalism will NOT be tolerated. Htrbrse (talk) 16:52, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
