Revision as of 19:01, 16 July 2010

Alison Van Pelt Please provide feedback on this new article.

I need help including images with the new article I created. I followed the tutorials, and uploaded three images, but I can't get them to appear in the article. The captions will appear, but not the images themselves. I can't find the uploaded images anywhere on wikipedia.

Can someone proofread this article? The article is discussing Paulding County High School in Dallas, Ga.

Thank You,

Hi, I'd appreciate feedback and a review of this new article on the artist's book "Workers (Gong Ren)". It's my first page from scratch and I've tried to follow all the guidelines. Thanks!

Hi. I've added citations where I can. Can the "Unreviewed Article" and "Inline Citations" straps be removed now?

~~Petergoldmark (talk) 08:00, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Could you please have a look at the page and tell me whether you think it's ok to publish. I've made changes to make it completely objective. Thanks

I have added more than several sources to my article. I do not know how to get my article requested for feedback.

Hi Wikipedians,
Pls have a look at my article on Indian Power sector Regulator, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission which is similar to USA's Federal Energy Regulatory Commission & Ireland's Utility Regulator. Pls review the article & provide your valuable feedback. Thanks in advance !!! (talk) 13:03, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It starts well but all the tables and lists are very off-putting. Arguably the objectives and obligations should be kept as they are. But you really need to think about the rest of the information. Most of it can probably be dropped from the article but you should think about whether some of it is important and should be written about in normal prose - paragraphs and sentences, not tables and lists. Hi Yaris678,
Thanks for your feedback. i like to justify to you that CERC is very well known for its regulations. I guess you are seeing the article just like an article about a person / place / company. But its not a process/product company, CERC is a power sector regulator who used to keep releasing Important regulations. Type CERC & google it then you will realise about the importance of regulations with the Media & Power industry people talking about it in every corner of the street. Thats is the rason why i included Regulations that too in table format for eye catching. For your info i like to emphasis that i have included only very important regulation (out of 100's) from CERC. Also i like to know your view/ suggestions on Paragraph Relation with Other Power Sector Bodies under CERC. Because CERC has very important relation or even sometimes governed by those bodies. Pls give your view on the writing. Waiting for your comments & positive feedback. Thank you once again for sparing time in reviewing my article.Raj6644 (talk) 06:32, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Writing about the regulations that CERC are responsible for is obviously a good thing. However, it is usually best not to present such information in the form of a list. Take a look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style (embedded lists). Yaris678 (talk) 07:44, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yaris678 i accept your suggestion. But still i feel like regulations speak a lot & it will be very use full to the users who search for those in wikipedia. At the same time, you can also have a look at this . i will try to put the things in a different way. Thanks your assistance. Raj6644 (talk) 08:57, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hai Yaris678, Now i have completely restructured the CERC Regulations part & i made it simple & neat. Also i have added one more topic Evolution of Tariff Determination & Role of CERC. Pls have a look & give your view. 10:40, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
I think that is an improvement. Have you read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (embedded lists)? It has some good advice in this area. Yaris678 (talk) 11:39, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yaris678, to say honestly i focused a lot on contents of the article rather than formatting. I will try to spend couple of hours only for formatting. I will put my best to improve the article. Raj6644 (talk) 13:27, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Bunchheather/William LeBeau

The issue I have is that William Titt is more commonly referred to as William LeBeau. Thus, I am trying to create a William Lebeau page in Wikipedia, which can redirect to William Titt, or vice versa. I have never used Wikipedia, and I really have no idea the best way to go about this. Any advice? People will be searching on google for Lebeau, not Titt!

~~Bunchheather (talk) 15:17, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A redirect for William Lebeau already exists. It goes to William H. Lebeau. Try doing typing William Lebeau in the search box and see what you get.
I think what you want is not a redirect but disambiguation. There are different ways of doing disambiguation. You could change the redirect page to be a disabiguation page or you could have a hat note on William H. Lebeau saying something like William Lebeau redirects here. For the gymnast see William Titt. The latter is probably what you want. See Template:Other uses templates - documentation

I'm requesting comments/suggestions on making this article (User:Tswelch/ManagePro) non-biased, and not sound like advertising. I work for the company and I understand that anything I write can and has been seen as blatant advertising. That is not my intention. This article has been created and subsequently deleted in the past under (User:Scanplan/ManagePro). There are several differences between these two articles. I appreciate any responses that would help in creating a non-biased article that meets the standards of wikipedia. Thanks.

This is a short article describing the system that collects information for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. I want to get this online and have the community improve it.

More and more is being added, and I think it's being appreciated by other people now.

Added this page (my first) after editing the Cees Nooteboom page, which referred to the Pegasus Prize. Would welcome feedback on what I did incorrectly!

This article about Albert Fisher was created based on family history research that I've conducted. I'm looking for feedback on ways that I can improve this article. Thanks in advance!
