LoLa Monroe

Fershgenet Melaku (born 23 October 1986) is an Ethiopian American rapper, model and actress.

Early life

Melaku was born in Ethiopia. She is of Ethiopian and Trinidadian descent. She spent her childhood years mostly raised in Washington, DC.

Career

As a hip hop model she goes under the aliases Angel or Lola Luv or also Sarah Vaughn; as a rapper she goes under the alias Lola Monroe, adopting 'Monroe' from the late Marilyn Monroe.[1] Angel was found by professional photographer / model agent Mike Styles, CEO of his own Modeling Agency Style Entertainment. They met and talked about him doing her photo shoot & managing her. They started working together with Mike’s partner Michelle Vierya and though only 5'5", she has had a successful modeling career since March 2006.[2] As a model, her accolades are far reaching having had spreads in leading magazines such as XXL, King, BlackMen and Smooth to name a few. Moreover, she has had leading roles in music videos by some of the biggest names in the rap arena such as 50 Cent, Kanye West, Lloyd Banks, Busta Rhymes and Young Jeezy. As a model and rapper, she is widely known for her figure with much attention going to her stunning 40" posterior in spite of her slender frame. She confirmed that she has had butt implants, breast implants, and several other types of plastic surgeries performed. In 2009, Lola Monroe released three mixtapes officially launching her career as a female MC. She is also in the eyes of many fans as the sexiest girl in rap. Also many people compare her to Young Money signed rapper Nicki Minaj .
