Background

Verma was born on September 28 in a small village of Urrat Pradesh and did his schooling in another town 'Tikri' of Uttar Pradesh. In the year 1995, he went to the Pantnagar University, Pantnagar for his Graduation and Post Graduation. He did his doctoral studies in Medical Oncology from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom with prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship. During May 1998-June 2000, Dr. Verma worked in CDFD, Hyderabad as a Scientist in the DNA Fingerprinting Division and since June 2000-till date, he is working as Scientist in CCMB, Hyderabad, India.

At present, Dr Sunil Kumar Verma is working in the arena of molecular cell signaling for understanding of cellular signalling networks and underlying molecular mechanisms in relation to the human health and disease, in particular the tubercusolis and human Cancers. He is also continuing his interests in Wildlife Conservation and Wildlife Forensics.
