It's Better If You Don't Understand is an extended play (EP) by American singer-songwriter and music producer Bruno Mars, who also is part of the production team The Smeezingtons. It was released on May 11, 2010. The digital-only[1] album was recorded in Hawaii and Los Angeles, California.[citation needed] The EP's title comes from the last line on "The Other Side".[2]

Bill Lamb of About.com complimented the EP, noting the tracks "cover a quite wide range of pop pleasure" and "...should be on your radio."[4] Allmusic's David Jeffres also gave a positive review, calling the EP a "surprisingly sparse effort that leans towards pop while focusing on the man’s songwriting."[5]

Chart performance

It's Better if You Don't Understand peaked at #99 on the Billboard 200 for the week of May 29, 2010[6] and at #97 on the UK Singles Chart on the chart dated August 28, 2010.[7]
