Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool Aulia was a Muslim Sufi Saint, who came from Morocco & preached teachings of Islam in sub-continent of India, in the era of 11th A.D.

Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool (R.A) was born in "Teenjah" a small town / port of Morocco, in 1101 A.D.In the very beginning his aptitude was towards spiritualism.After obtaining elementary religious eduaction in Maktab (religious school), in the very young age, he left his native place as well as beloved parents, in search of spiritualism & reality about this universe i-e inner knowledge.

After a long & un-comfortable travelling in sea, He came to Karachi, then a small port/toen of sub-continent of India. He met with Hazrat Shah Inayat, who was a great Spiritual Leader (Peer /Murshad) of then Sindh. In addition to tasawwaf (spiritualism), Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool (R.A) was appointed the incharge of "Langar Khana" (i-e a mess, having free foods for every one).After completion of inner education , Shah Inasyat (R.A)granted him "Khilafat" (i.e deputy, having full spiritual powers / abilities of his leader) & ordered him to travel towards North west, for serving the mankind & preaching the teachings of Islam. Shah Inayat (R.A)also gave him an "ASA" (i-e a stick, usually carried by the sufis) & told him that your final destination will be that place, where this stick stop.

Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool (R.A) started travelling & through route of Multan & Kashmir, reached "KOKALYAN", a small village near Haripur (Hazara). He stayed on a knoll / Hillock, nearby a stream & forest. He made a cave & started worship of ALLAH, the creator of this universe. In addition to worship, he also served the people of nearby village secretly. In midnight, he took water & fill the mosques, so that people should easily make "WUZOO" i-e washing hands, legs etc., for prayers. He spent 12 years in this cave. This cave still exist & famous as "BHOORA SHAREEF". This cave is bright with worship of ALLAH & now, a number of people came form various parts of the country to visit the cave & to obtain blessings of Almighty ALLAH.

Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool (R.A) again started travelling & reached "ATTOCK", (Now ATTOCK KHURD). With his efforts towards preaching of teachings of Islam & his love & sevices for mankind, a number of people stop bad / evil manners, as well as converted from Hindu religion to Islam.

Lastly, Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool (R.A) started travellings towards west & reached Peshawar, then a small town & stayed a nearby Mohalla (street) "DABGRAN". In those Peshwar was not developed & having a small population. The stick (given by the spiritual leader) stop & Peshawar was assumed as the final destination. Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool (R.A) started preaching of teachings of Islam & also served the people. Due to his love, affections & sincere efforts, thousands of people converted from Hindu & other religions to Islam. He also sent his "KHULFAA" (i-e deputies) towards other villages, towns, cities as well tribal area & Afghanistan.

After serving the mankind for 34 years, Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool (R.A)left this world for permanent living in another world in 1181 A.D. His shrine is situated in Dabgari Area of Peshwar, the capital of Province "Khyber Pukhtunkhwah", Pakistan. A number of people come daily for reciting from Holy Qur'aan.

Urs (Anniversary) is being celebrated as "JASHN-E-WARUD-E-MASAUD" (i-e the bright day when Hazrat Syed Shah Qabool R.A entered in Peshawar) on last Thursday, Friday & Saturday in the month of May every year. Thousand people came from various cities of Pakistan, Kashmir as well as abroad, to homage this great Muslim Sufi Saint & obtain blessings of Almighty ALLAH, the creator of this universe.
