Elizabeth Hanson is a Canadian politician, who was selected as the new leader of the Yukon New Democratic Party in a leadership convention on September 26, 2009.[1] She was acclaimed to the position after her only challenger, MLA Steve Cardiff, withdrew from the race for personal reasons.

Prior to assuming the party leadership, Hanson was the party president and the director of the federal civil service in the Yukon.
