Mike Herrera, the bass player and singer for MxPx, stated on the the episode of "Lifespring! The original Christian All-Podcast Podcast" released on October 22, 2010, that Yuri said he would be available for recording new music with MxPx. His retirement was only from touring.

Yuri Ruley

Yuri Zane Ruley (born June 3, 1976 in Tacoma, Washington) is an American drummer who played in the pop punk band MxPx.

In 1992, while still in high school, Ruley started MxPx with Mike Herrera and Andy Husted; Husted was replaced by Tom Wisniewski two years later. The band played their first concert in Herrera's back yard, but slowly the band became more popular and is now known throughout the U.S. Ruley is the only band member without any tattoos. He married his wife Katie in 2001 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The two welcomed their first child, a daughter, in May 2007, and a son in July 2009. They currently reside in Port Orchard, Washington. In December 2008 Yuri got to play as a guest drummer on the Seattle Seahawks drumline Blue Thunder.
