A comment a friend of mine watching me search through a couple years for a person (not the most efficient way, I know) was "they should sort these by nationality." My thoughts are that it just would be waaay too much tedious, dull work, because a seriously big number of people have been norn (cite world population) but he wanted me to suggest this anyway. Are the categories by year of birth and death to include only humans or can animals like Buddy Clinton and Dolly the sheep be included as well? Q0 21:14, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Lists of people needing categorization by birth or death
I've compiled three lists of people needing categorization by birth or death (as of mid-March 2008):
- User:Dsp13/Living people needing categorization by year of birth (containing about 26,000 individuals)
- User:Dsp13/People needing categorization by year of birth (containing about 11,000 individuals)
- User:Dsp13/People needing categorization as living or by year of death (containing about 18,000 individuals)
Any help gratefully received in adding the appropriate categories to these! Dsp13 (talk) 21:07, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Splitting births by year?
A good number of the XXXX births categories have thousands of members. For example, there are 3,978 pages in Category: 1948 births.
What we could do is split those categories by month, for example:
- Category:January 1948 births
- Category:February 1948 births
- Category:March 1948 births
- Category:April 1948 births
- Category:May 1948 births
- Category:June 1948 births
- Category:July 1948 births
- Category:August 1948 births
- Category:September 1948 births
- Category:October 1948 births
- Category:November 1948 births
- Category:December 1948 births
