Kieran Dynes, born in Clonmore Dungannon, Northern Ireland, is a former NASCAR driver.
The northern Irish man made his debut in the Busch (Nationwide) Series along side current Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 champion Jamie McMurray. He replaced Mike Wallace in the #77 Lear UAW sponsored Ford which at the time was a very uncompetitive car and team. The race was held at Memphis Motorsports Park, in Memphis, Tennessee and was won by Kevin Harvick. Jeff Green wrapped up the championship on the same day. Dynes started the event in 42nd place and retired early with engine problems. He has also competed in the ARCA series and Late Model stock cars.(1990's)
In 2001, at Charlotte (Lowe's Motor Speedway) final practice, Dynes was caught up in an accident involving Kerry Earnhardt which left him with serious lower back injuries, Since then he has competed in Touring Cars and the NASCAR stock car series based at Rockingham England,he has not driven since 2003. Dynes along with IndyCar legend Dario franchitti are the only British drivers ever to compete in both the NASCAR Nationwide and the ARCA REMAX Series.
