== babylon 5 Scifi for this decade not mentioned ==
this mentions most science fiction iv heard of for the 2070's decade even star trek. but what about babylon 5? acording to babylon 5 there is atleast a paragraph worth of back story thats missing for this show. babylon 5 back story for 2070's is not being mentioned heres some events that could be put into the science fiction section. for instance world war 3 lasts from 2076- 2084 this artical could atleast mention that 2076 was the year world war 3 begins acording to babylon 5. although i am seeing other mentionings to a nuclear holocaust type of war in this decade by other science fiction acording to to other authors on this article.

The 2070s is expected to be called the "twenty-seventies".

Will the 2070s really be called the twenty-seventies? Joseandricardo, 17:55, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why not.--DB Durham NC 20:49, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Huge focus on the centennial of Unix timing system." -- Absolutely false. The 32-bit Unix counter rolling over will lead to the Year 2038 problem, and has absolutely nothing to do with a 100-year anniversary. I just wanted to point this out before changing the article page, especially since I'm not a registered Wikipedia user. (Yet.) -- Gregly

Atomium

What will happen with the copyrights on the Atomium in the 2070s? --84.61.27.68 12:45, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Muslims?

Come on, now. 2076 will not be the year 1500 in the Islamic calendar. 2076 - 622 = NOT 1500 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.160.170.22 (talkcontribs).

Then please remove the information accompanied by a proper edit summary. The original entry read "Allegedly Bede and some Sufis computed 2076 as the last year." and was accompanied by a web reference; I reformatted the entry and pulled in more information from the web reference. If the web reference is wrong, this information should be pulled. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 12:09, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PlayStation 9

Will this decade really see the release of the PlayStation 9. 209.247.22.197 17:07, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Playstation 14/9

"In a futuristic commercial for the PlayStation 2, the year in which the "PS14" is released." "The "PlayStation 9" will be released in 2078, according to a futuristic advertisement for the 2000 release of the PlayStation 2."

Surely these can't both be right. I never saw the ad in question, so can't really comment, but I doubt that Sony would make ads showing the PS9 and PS14 being released in the same year from the same marketing campaign. Could someone that saw this ad please correct this. Akata 08:58, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Video games in public domain

Unless I am mistaken, the 90-year copyright protection on many retro video games will end around this time if it is not renewed. 92.237.21.186 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 11:30, 21 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

I believe the term is 95 years, not 90. 140.147.236.194 (talk) 16:03, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza[reply]

Copyright--United States "Old Law" (pre-1978)

As I understand it, on December 31, 2072, under United States Copyright Law, the last copyrights registered under the "Old Law" (i.e. the law in effect before January 1, 1978) will reach the end of their maximum 95 year term, and will expire. 140.147.236.194 (talk) 16:02, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza[reply]

New Sentence

I was wondering can the sentence The 2070s will begin on January 1, 2070 and will end on December 31, 2079 be at the top of the article so people can know when the 2070s will begin and end69.209.197.42 (talk) 13:54, 22 August 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Correct Starting Year

The Gregorian Calendar does not include a year zero, so the decades begin on the 1, not the 0. In other words, the 2070s will begin on January 1, 2071, not 2070. Kdietz (talk) 21:06, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
