Ambassador Sten Lundbo.

Sten Fredrik Lundbo (born 1940 in Bergen) is a Norwegian diplomat[1] and was Ambassador to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France 1995 - 2000 and to the Republic of Poland 2000 - 2005.

Education

He graduated with a MA in international economics from the Norwegian School of Economics in 1967.

Career and assignments

Sten Fredrik Lundbo started working in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affars in 1967. In addition to Strasbourg and Warsaw, his diplomatic assignments include Bangkok, Paris and Geneva.[1] Mr. Lundbo was Chairman of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) 1992 - 1993. With Mr. Lundbo as its Chairman, the MTCR decided at its annual meeting in Oslo in July 1992 to expand the scope to include nonproliferation of UAV’s for all weapons of mass destruction, making the payload/range threshold much less rigid than the original 500 kg/300 km. [2] See also article on MTCR. Mr. Lundbo chaired the negotiations on guidelines for the post CoCom regime (the Wassenaar Arrangement) 1993 - 1995.[3]
