Alexa Helen Nikolas (born April 4, 1992) is an American actress. Her most notable role to date is that of Nicole Bristow on the Nickelodeon TV show Zoey 101, which she starred on from 2005 to 2006.
Early life
Nikolas was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is of Greek descent on her mother's side of the family, and from New Zealand on her father's side.[1]
Acting career
She portrayed the role of Nicole Bristow in the series of Nickelodeon the Zoey 101. She co-starred in the program along side Jamie Lynn Spears and Kristin Herrera who were in the first season, as well as Victoria Justice, who came into the picture in the second season. She was involved in constant off-screen fights with Jamie Lynn Spears. Jamie Lynn's sister Britney Spears became involved as well, and eventually Nikolas was written off the show (it is actually unknown what the fight was about). She appeared on Hidden Hills regularly[2] and also on the 2005 mini- series Revelations[3] She also guest-starred in several more shows, most notably The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,[4][5] Judging Amy,[6] and Heroes.[7]
She appeared in a supporting role alongside Vanessa Hudgens in the latter's music video, "Come Back to Me".[8] Nikolas at one time had supporting roles in the films Motocross Kids[9] and Tiptoes.[10] A year later she was offered a role on the Disney Channel where she could star as Alex Russo in the sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place. Nikolas didn't take the offer, which was later given to Selena Gomez.[11] In 2009, she appeared in the remake of Children of the Corn.[12] She is set to appear in the upcoming film LOL (Laughing Out Loud) a remake of the French comedy, opposite Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore.[13] Recently, Alexa played the role of Amanda Dunbar, a character that appeared in Season 3, Episode 9 of Lie to Me. (Episode name: 'Funhouse').
