V. Anamika is a Contemporary Artist born in Neelankarai, Chennai, Tamilnadu, a student of Shri. S. Dhanapal, an eminent artist of India. She received her Master's degree in Fine Arts (Painting and Print Making) in 1999 from Chennai Government College of Fine Arts.[1] To enhance her technical skill she undertook a course on Care of museum objects at Government Museum in 2005. In 2006, she went to Scotland as a visiting artist scholar to learn Japanese wood-block printing at Edinburgh printmaker’s studio.

Visiting Faculty
She started her teaching career as a lecturer of Art for five years for Teacher trainees at the Church Park Teachers Training Institute, Chennai, in 2000-2005. She has been invited as a Visiting faculty at College of Fine Arts, Chennai and Kumbakonam, to teach the Arts Management Course, Dakshinchitra, Chennai.
