EMD 462 is a very odd case. It is NOT actually a built-new F9, but in reality was built using the carbody of traded-in CNW F7 6501A. This puts it in the same category as the UP and SP F3 to F9 conversions which reused the F3 bodies. Even though a new serial was assigned, it is NOT a new body. Therefore it should not be counted and the total revised down from 100 to 99. |
