Template:Spanish name 2 David Generelo Miranda (born 11 August 1982 in Badajoz, Extremadura) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Elche CF as a central midfielder.

Club career

Generelo emerged through Real Zaragoza's youth ranks, and first appeared with its main side during 2002–03's second division. From then on, we would be regularly used by the Aragonese, although never an undisputed starter, and helped the club win the domestic cup in his first professional season.

In 2006–07, Generelo served a loan spell at newly promoted Gimnàstic de Tarragona, appearing regularly as the Catalonians were immediately relegated back from La Liga. The following season was curtailed after just four matches, due to a serious foot injury.[1]

After contributing with 23 matches - mainly from the bench - as Zaragoza returned to the top flight after one year out, Generelo's link to the club expired; on 22 July 2009, he signed for Elche CF in a 2+1 deal.[2]
