Geomerics is a software company based in Cambridge, UK. It was founded in 2005 and specialises in creating lighting technology for the games industry.

Technology

Geomerics main product is Enlighten[1], which computes radiosity in real-time on Playstation_3, Xbox 360 and PC[2]. Enlighten processes scene geometry in an offline step, allowing for real-time updates of the lighting and surface properties in a level.

Titles

Enlighten is incorporated into the Frostbite 2 engine[3], created by EA DICE studio. It can be seen in Battlefield 3[4], and Need for Speed: The Run. Enlighten has been licensed for a variety of other titles including Eve Online.
