Jonima family was a noble Albanian family from northern Albania that is often mentioned in the 13th through the 15th century AD in contemporary documents. A member of the family, Vladislav Jonima is mentioned in sources with the title of zupan. A catholic, he was acknowledged by the Pope as a ruler of a territory around Lezhë in 1319. This feudal family reappears in sources at the end of 14th century. They are linked with the Zaharia family and the Dushman family. One of the most notorious members of this family is Dhimitër Jonima.[1]
