April Michelle Bowlby (born July 30, 1980) is an American actress best known for her role as Stacy on Drop Dead Diva, and also for the supporting role as Kandi, Alan's dim witted girlfriend and subsequently ex-wife on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.
Biography
April Bowlby was born in 1980. Bowlby moved to Manteca, California, as a child and attended East Union High School. She studied ballet and French at Moorpark College before deciding to pursue an acting career. She studied drama with Ivana Chubbuck and secured a role in a major television series (Kimberlin/Kandi in Two and a Half Men) within months of her first Hollywood audition. Bowlby has appeared on many TV series including CSI as "Kaitlin Rackish" in 2004, CSI: NY as "Jenny Lee" in 2005, Freddie as "Sydney" in 2005, Stacked as "Jasmine" in 2005 and How I Met Your Mother as "Meg" in 2007. Bowlby took on the role of "Natasha" in All Roads Lead Home, a 2007 movie about a 12 year old girl who loses her mother in an automobile accident.
In 2009, Bowlby starred in the comedy film The Slammin' Salmon as Mia. She starred in the pilot for Drop Dead Diva, which was picked up as a series by Lifetime Network. The show's second season was shown in the summer of 2010. Also, Bowlby played a stripper in the US adaption of Kath & Kim.
In 2010, Bowlby again appeared in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in the episode "Unshockable." She also appeared USA Network series Psych as Det. Carlton Lassiter's sister Lauren.
