Can Emed is a Surrealist artist and painter from Turkey.
Biography
Can Emed was born in Turkey, Istanbul, the son of Gülçin Çolak/Emed, also an artist; she is also the grand children of known fabricator; Şerif Çolak. Also the son of Recep Emed, he is also the grand son of Harbiye Nazırı, Mushir Recep Pasha. Can had an interest in arts since his childhood as his mother realised of his son's early efforts in arts and crafts when he is started to draw the walls of his bedroom when he is nearly 6 years old. When he is 10 years old, Can joins in a juniours exhibition of Tema Foundation in 1991, on a competition of "Erosion and Dunes" and wins the 1st Winner Award. In his education years, he still carries on making art stuffs and etc. On 1998, he starts in Yeditepe University on Arts and Crafts Department, Arts Plastiques Section. In faculty years, he joins several exhibitions and competitions with his art. On 2003, he graduated from Arts Plastiques Section, Yeditepe University.
