The Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya
(IDC) (Hebrew: המרכז הבינתחומי) is a private (non-profit) Israeli college located in Herzliya, Israel.
The languages of instruction in the Interdisciplinary Center are Hebrew and English.
History
Founded in 1994 by Professor Uriel Reichman, the Interdisciplinary Center is Israel's first private college. The IDC provides an interdisciplinary education, which combines academic study with practical training. The Interdisciplinary Center aims to create an environment where personal achievement goes hand-in-hand with social responsibility, as well as an international atmosphere. This is achieved by having, in all of the programs taught mainly in Hebrew, mandatory courses in English. In 2009, Alpha Epsilon Pi established its Aleph chapter as the first fraternity in Israel.[1]. IDC offers exchange programs with Syracuse University , The University of Pennsylvania, and Singapore Management University.

As of 2010, its student population consists of 4,500 undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate students, enrolled at IDC's schools:

- Raphael Recanati International School (RRIS) - As of 2011, 1,400 students from 80 countries are studying full-degree programs in English. The Interdisciplinary Center is currently the only Israeli institute in which one can complete a Bachelor of Arts (post high-school) degree solely in English.
