Amy Rose Locane (born December 19, 1971) is an American television and film actress.
Career
Locane was born in Trenton, New Jersey. She starred as one of the original cast on the television series Melrose Place, in which she played Sandy, an aspiring actress who waited tables at the show's bar hangout, Shooters. She left Melrose Place after its first 12 episodes of season one and was replaced by Daphne Zuniga. She also starred in the movie Airheads with Brendan Fraser and Adam Sandler.
She plays a lead role in the film Cry-Baby (1990), starring Johnny Depp, co-stars in the comedy Bongwater with Luke Wilson and Jack Black, and plays the love interest for main character Brendan Fraser in School Ties. She appears in Carried Away.
Personal life
In 2008, Locane married Mark Bovenizer, a local businessman and volunteer firefighter from New Jersey.[1][2][3] They have two daughters, born in January 2007 and January 2009.[4] In April 2011, at the age of two, their younger daughter was diagnosed with a chronic gastrointestinal disease.[5]
