Fundraising 2011/India storytelling

Hi, i assume that you reside in Maharashtra, if not Mumbai! So, i thought i should bring this to your attention.

Joyson Noel Holla at me! 11:58, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't that great stuff, Joyson! No comment other than it's a strategic project and it almost seems to address issues around my topic ban :-) Expect more of this in the near and mid-term future but also expect it to wane as the problem of systemic bias on Wikipedia undergoes a correction helped by the correcting of the real world systemic bias. Hope you are able to stick around much longer despite the pressures. Zuggernaut (talk) 15:01, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WPIndia does have a problem due to low IQ users who are stuck with obsolete modes of thinking and who are unable to come to terms with current realities. However, such modes of thinking is getting dinosorized everywhere and no doubt, will get done on WP too. Cheers.-MW 08:33, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I concur! A lot of morons just can't shake off the past and the old way of doing things. It's a problem everywhere, not just here in Wikipedia. I remember a dialogue in an old movie Krantiveer in which Nana Patekar says, "Isi liye mein kehta hoon ki hamesha wakt ke saath chalo! Na paanch minute ke aagey, na hi paanch minute se pehlein." Joyson Noel Holla at me! 08:55, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Guys, I was referring to the oral citations project and the related film which I navigated to from Joyson's fundraising link (Template:External link) but your criticism could apply elsewhere as you suggest. Teamwork can help overcome other shortcomings. Zuggernaut (talk) 01:49, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Civility barnstar

Civility Award
For the civil behaviour while being under persistent, one sided attacks, almost everywhere, by the same two or three people. One can certainly learn from your example.

A barnstar for you!

Another one

The NPOV Barnstar of Merit

This WikiAward was given to Zuggernaut by Wikireader41 (talk) on 23:02, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the Barnstar

Thank you very much. I'm relieved that our differences on India have not soured things between us! I look forward to working with you again on that and other articles. AshLin (talk) 02:34, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, that thought never crossed my mind. For me, what happens at an article stays there and doesn't spill over to other articles. For the most part, the India article itself is just fine and even getting better but it is an exception in one area. Nonetheless, I cannot foresee any unsolvable disagreements with you or greater than 99.8% of the 2500 watchers/editors either at the India article or elsewhere. And given that almost all of the editors you and I interact with stick to the top of the pyramid on the right, what's to worry about? Zuggernaut (talk) 15:28, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Talkpage editwar

You had no place to reinstate the comment on my talkpage. What ever the interpretation you have about the talkpage guidelines, I'm quoting from the same page that you linked:

"Personal talk page cleanup: On your own user talk page, you may archive threads at your discretion. Simply deleting others' comments on your talk page is permitted, but most editors prefer archiving. Many new users believe they can hide critical comments by deleting them. This is not true: Such comments can always be retrieved from the page history. Removal of a comment is taken as proof that the user has read it."

With some other editors doing the same recently I might be out of patience for this specific matter, so consider this as the only warning/notification for your action. --lTopGunl (talk) 04:37, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zuggernaut. I think this [1] might be of interest to you. I, for one, found it extremely useful.MW 09:54, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly something I was looking for. I will install it soon, thanks for letting me know. Zuggernaut (talk) 13:08, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder why you have taken your topic-ban review to the ANI. The ANI is a completely useless place.
