A new reference tool[edit]

Hello Books & Bytes subscribers. There is a new Visual Editor reference feature in development called Citoid. It is designed to "auto-fill" references using a URL or DOI. We would really appreciate you testing whether TWL partners' references work in Citoid. Sharing your results will help the developers fix bugs and improve the system. If you have a few minutes, please visit the testing page for simple instructions on how to try this new tool. Regards, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:47, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited People's Linguistic Survey of India, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Survey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The Blob[edit]

I don't mind helping you with this article, I had not heard of the phenomenon before. I propose to work on a section called "Cause", initially using some of the sources you have already found. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:42, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

@Cwmhiraeth:, thanks. I'm leaving the Cause upto you. I'm concentrating on the effects on marine life and weather. AshLin (talk) 18:48, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth:,
  • Bond, N. A., M. F. Cronin, H. Freeland, and N. Mantua (2015), Causes and Impacts of the 2014 Warm Anomaly in the NE Pacific, Geophys. Res. Lett., 42, doi:10.1002/2015GL063306.Abstract & full text, will help you. AshLin (talk) 19:34, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
I'm stopping for the night now but I will have a look at that source in the morning. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:47, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
I've about done what I can. Shall I nominate the article at DYK? I rather fancy the hook "Did you know that there is a "Blob" in the Pacific Ocean?" Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:45, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Callicebus miltoni[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Callicebus miltoni has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is already a Milton's titi article, make this a redirect.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. January 2016[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Gum arabic may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 08:34, 24 January 2016 (UTC)
