Throw In is a soccergame series by the video game company The Fox Software. The project was originally started by the three times Kick Off 2 World Champion Gianluca Troiano as a remake to the classic footballgame Kick Off 2.[1] Several betaversions were released during the 00s and Dino Dini, the programmer behind the Kick Off (series) praised the result.[2]

According to the developer The Fox Software the next version will be adjusted to modern controls like gamepad and keyboard. The game Throw In 2nd Half will be released in 2012.

History

Throw In started as a remake to Kick Off 2. The programmer Gianluca Troiano started the project in cooperation with Kick Off Association in 2004. Several betaversions were released. a Transformed version of the game was released in 2006 as Nutella Football Game by Artematica. It was sold on Italian big malls as a promotional gift together with a can of Nutella during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.[3]

The Throw In project went on and in 2007 beta 0.8 was released. In early 2008 beta 0.86 was released. The betaversions were free and in total the game was downloaded 100000 times. The trailers for the 0.8 and 0.85 versions had 80000 views.[4]

In December 2011 The Fox Software announced that the game Throw In 2nd Half will be released in 2012.
