CJCB-TV is a Canadian television station, broadcasting in Sydney, Nova Scotia. It is an O&O of the CTV Television Network, through the CTV Atlantic regional system in the Canadian Maritimes.

It airs the same programming as CJCH-TV in Halifax at all times, except some commercials and an annual telethon.

History

CJCB-TV signed on for the first time on October 9, 1954; owned by the Nathanson family along with CJCB radio. It was originally a CBC affiliate. CHUM Limited, owner of CJCH-TV, bought CJCB-TV in 1971 and switched it to CTV in 1972 when the CBC put CBIT on the air in Sydney. It immediately joined the Atlantic Television System, CHUM's network of CTV affiliates in the Maritimes.

CHUM owned CJCB-TV until 1997, when it swapped the entire ATV group to Baton Broadcasting in a deal that saw Baton become majority owner of CTV.
