Mohammed Abu (born 14 November 1991) is a Ghanaian international footballer, who plays professionally for German club Eintracht Frankfurt, on loan from English club Manchester City, as a midfielder.

Career

Club career

After playing youth football with Sporting Club Accra, Abu signed for English side Manchester City on 31 August 2010.[1] He was immediately loaned to Norwegian club Strømsgodset, where he made his professional debut.[2] On 29 June 2011, Abu's loan deal was extended until December 2011.[3] In October 2011, Abu signed a new contract with Manchester City, until June 2014.[4] In January 2012, he joined German 2. Fußball-Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.[5]

International career

Abu made his first senior appearence for Ghana in October 2011, in a 0–0 friendly draw against Nigeria.[6] As of 27 December 2011, he has 2 caps to date.[7]
